February 1, 2023 - New York City will be all the buzz next week, with Fashion Week gearing up and underway. Noir Fashion Week is proud to announce Swanky Jerry will be honored in the season 3 presentation with the inaugural Trailblazer Award '23.
This prominent African American fashion organization and highly anticipated New York City fashion event will highlight the diverse styles of the designers and aim to raise awareness for issues impacting Black fashion culture.
Swanky Jerry is a Nigerian Fashion stylist who has worked with international talents, such as Davido, and starred in Netflix's breakout reality series, 'Young, Famous, & African.' This year Noir Fashion Week is excited to honor Nigerian talent that has impacted the fashion industry and has continued to pave the way for other hungry designers.
Swanky Jerry's accomplishments include creating the public image for Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan, which led to global recognition for his contributions to fashion and style. He has appeared on the cover of GQ Magazine and was recognized by Forbes in their 30 Under 30 List and as a centennial icon. Swanky Jerry also. He is also a successful entrepreneur, running a multi-business empire centered around his PR and image-consulting firm, Swanky's Signatures. Swanky Signatures is responsible for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Pepsi campaign. In line with his values, Swanky Jerry supports the fashion community by sharing his success and mentoring future stylists and designers. This has earned him recognition from the United Nations as one of the most influential people of African descent.
